Greetings and Hello to All. It is now time for all young artists and their supporters to prepare for our 9th Annual Orange County Heritage Council Youth Art Contest. The artwork will be on display at the Black History Parade and Unity Festival in February 2022, in the Youth Village. The 1st Place artwork will be exhibited in the Muzeo Carnegie Gallery in Anaheim, CA, from Friday, January 21, 2022, through March 20, 2022. Prizes will be awarded on stage during the Unity Festival on Saturday, February 5, 2022.
OCHC has been serving the community by distributing thousands of free food boxes each week in locations across Orange County and Los Angeles County. Boxes contain fresh fruit & vegetables, dairy products, and protein. Stay tuned for upcoming giveway events featuring personal care products. Check the Food Giveaway link for updates.
The 2021 OCHC Scholarship Awards Ceremony was recently. Four students – graduating high school seniors and university students – were each awarded $2,500 scholarships this year. The scholarships are enabled by a generous donation by Vans, a VF Company.
